Bacon Burgers |
 |
Makes 4 burgers
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 12 slices Bar-S Smoked Bacon, uncooked
- 4 slices Bar-S Smoked Bacon, cooked and crumbled into bits
- 4 slices of your favorite cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, split
- 1 large red onion, sliced
- 1 large hot house tomato, sliced
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 1 jar (16 oz.) sweet pickle spears
- 4 servings of your favorite condiments
- 2 tbsp. seasoned salt
- 2 tbsp. minced onion
- 1 tsp. black pepper

PREPARATION:
- Hand-mix the ground beef, crumbled bacon bits, barbecue sauce, minced onion, and seasoned salt; shape into four patties.
- Cook the bacon slices on medium-low heat until crispy but not burnt; drain, then cover to retain heat.
- Once preheated, grill the patties for 5-6 minutes on medium heat then flip; grill the other side for an additional 5-6 minutes.
- Add one slice of cheese about 1-2 minutes before the burgers are done; the internal temperature should be at least 160 F.
- Reheat the bacon for 1-2 minutes, only if necessary.
- Place one burger on each bun.
- Top off the burgers with 3 bacon slices, red onion, and 2-3 sweet pickle spears.
- Add your favorite condiments, then serve with potato salad, chips, or your favorite sides.
