Butter the inside of each sandwich roll; set aside.
Glaze each sausage link with honey, using a pastry brush.
Grill the sausage links for 10-12 minutes on medium heat, rotating and glazing every 3-4 minutes.
Add the bell peppers and onions into a sealed foil pouch.
Place the foil pouch on the grill for 15-20 minutes; flip the pouch after 10-12 minutes.
Once the vegetables and links are removed from the grill, place the sandwich rolls on the grill, buttered side down; grill for 3-5 minutes on high heat.
Add a link to each roll.
Top off each link with a helping of bell peppers and onion.
