Western-Style Sonoran Dogs
Makes 8 servings
INGREDIENTS:
8 Bar-S Beef Jumbo Franks (1 pack)
8 hot dog buns
1 can (16 oz.) pork and beans
8 slices Bar-S Thick Bacon
1 medium white onion, diced
16 slices American cheese
ΒΌ cup barbecue sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. black pepper
PREPARATION:
Wrap each frank with one slice of bacon; place on the grill for 10 minutes on medium heat or until the bacon is crispy, but not burnt.
Combine the pork and beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and black pepper in a medium saucepan.
Cook the pork and beans mixture on medium-high heat for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Place 2 slices of cheese in each bun, then add the bacon dogs.
Top each bacon dog with a helping of pork and beans and diced onion.
Serve hot with your favorite sides.
